Tissot has been a big industry name since being founded all the way back in 1853 by Charles-Félicien and his son in Switzerland. Due to the exploding popularity of their brand they quickly moved into other areas of the world such as Russia and the United States. There they were worn by various presidents and Tsars over the years. Today they are sold in over 160 countries world wide. Known for their fine craftsmanship and precise timekeeping, establishing themselves as a brand of recognition and beauty. These is my Tissot watch review.
Here are the three most popular models which they are so famous for. If you would like to take a look at all their watches please check here.
1. T-Race Premium
The T-Race is a premium model with all the added bells and whistles. It’s not for everyone but if you plan on using it for more than just the time it’s great. It’s made for sports with a tachymeter at the outer dial. Furthermore it has three chronograph dials as well as the day of the month.
The outside case is composed of black stainless steel that has a 45mm diameter. This makes it very strong and resistant to damage. The 45mm diameter means the model is on the larger side of average. It will fit very well on most men’s wrists. The movement is Swiss quartz which is standard for sports watches. That also makes it cheaper with less moving parts that can be damaged as opposed to automatic movements. The glass is made of the strongest sapphire making it very resistant to scratches. It’s also dependable up to 100m of water resistance.
While holding it you can really feel the durability. Obviously a very well put together watch that does Tissot justice.
The T-Race design is very elegant and sleek that can be easily dressed up or down for any occasion. Overall this is a relatively affordable and good looking watch that will stand the test of time.
2. Men’s T-Classic
The T-Classic is a men’s dress watch which knows how to turn heads. From the moment I put it on I could feel the quality of the craftsmanship. The large but thin case sits very well on the wrist with enough weight to remind you it’s there. The beautiful leather strap compliments the classy look only furthering the appeal. Besides the elegance and quality the best part is the price. At sub $200 price it has incredible value.
The case is made from stainless steel at 44mm diameter. The dial is this graceful off white color which simply looks amazing with anything you could possibly wear. Sapphire crystal makes up the window make it very scratch resistant and durable. The strap is genuine leather and feels phenomenal on the wrist.
Overall another amazing model out of Tissot. Created for the gentlemen who loves simplistic style and class. Our recommendation is to pick this up immediately because we have a feeling they will be raising their prices soon. Remember to add this to your Holiday wish list.
3. Men’s Le Locle
The Le Locle is luxury territory where few pocket books make it back. The cost is slightly higher than the others but for the automatic movement it is well worth it. Typically we will only see automatic in watches above $500. However they stuck to their brand creed of making better watches at affordable prices. As a premium model it comes with all the standard and premium features you would expect.
To begin the case is made from a shining stainless steel with a diameter of 39mm. This is average sized and will suit most wrists very well. The dial glass is fine sapphire which is not only anti-scratch but also anti-glare. Furthermore the numerals are Roman and give a more sophisticated look. As I mentioned earlier the movement is Swiss automatic which is extremely difficult to craft. Only master watchmakers attempt it. It will need to be serviced every 4-5 years at any store to keep it working in tip top shape.
For the gentleman, the scholar, or just a man of taste this model will make a perfect gift for yourself or a special someone. At the current price it’s an absolute steal but stock is always low and sells out very quickly
Tissot Watch Price
The price can vary greatly depending on the year and model as well as where you purchased it from. However, you can expect to pay anywhere from $200-$500 on average. I suggest always using Amazon as they typically have the best prices, fastest shipping, and amazing costumer service.
